Warranty and Care Guide

Natural Stone

Natural stone is an inherently variable material. Variations in colour, veining, texture, crystal formation, mineral deposits, natural pits, filled areas and other naturally occurring characteristics do not constitute manufacturing defects and are not covered under warranty.

Warranty Coverage

Kozy Nest warrants its products against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal indoor residential use. Where a valid claim is accepted, Kozy Nest reserves the right to determine the appropriate remedy, including repair, replacement or refund, in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.

Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover natural stone variation, dimensional tolerances, cosmetic appearance, scratches, chips, stains, etching, accidental damage, misuse, neglect, improper cleaning, impact damage, incorrect installation, movement after delivery, outdoor use, commercial misuse or normal wear and tear.

Suitable Surface

Products must be placed on a solid, level and stable surface. Movement caused by carpet, rugs or uneven flooring is not considered a manufacturing defect and is not covered under warranty.

Daily Care

Clean surfaces with a soft cloth and a pH-neutral stone cleaner. Avoid abrasive products, harsh chemicals and scouring pads.

Spills

Wine, coffee, tea, lemon juice, vinegar, oils and other acidic or coloured substances should be removed immediately. Permanent staining or etching resulting from delayed cleaning is not covered under warranty.

Heat

Do not place hot cookware or heated appliances directly onto the stone. Always use trivets or heat-resistant mats. Damage caused by thermal shock is not covered.

Impact

Natural stone is inherently brittle. Chips, cracks or edge damage resulting from accidental impact or heavy objects are not covered under warranty.

Moving Furniture

Do not drag, push or tilt stone furniture. Products should always be lifted evenly using sufficient people or suitable lifting equipment. Damage during relocation is the customer's responsibility.

Outdoor Use

Unless otherwise stated, Kozy Nest products are intended for indoor use only. Outdoor exposure voids this warranty.

Sealing

Some stones require periodic resealing depending on material, usage and environment. Failure to maintain protective sealers is not covered under warranty.

Inspection

Customers should inspect products regularly. Any suspected manufacturing defect should be reported promptly. Continued use after a defect becomes apparent may result in additional damage that is not covered.

Warranty Claims

Claims must include proof of purchase, photographs and a description of the issue. Kozy Nest may inspect the product before determining the appropriate remedy.

Limitation of Warranty

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser unless otherwise required by law. It covers manufacturing defects only and does not guarantee that natural stone will remain unchanged through ordinary use or environmental exposure.

Goodwill

Any repair, replacement, transport assistance, discount or other goodwill gesture provided by Kozy Nest is offered solely at its discretion. Such assistance does not constitute an admission of liability or defect and does not create any ongoing obligation or precedent for future claims.

Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Customers are entitled to the remedies provided by the ACL where applicable.
